Everyone loves a good winter-scented candle this time of year. But did you know that each year, up to 7,500 fires are started because of household candles? Yikes! That doesn’t mean you should throw out your candles completely, but you should be sure to be extra careful when lighting candles in your apartment. Battery-powered candles might be a good alternative, giving you the same ambiance without the added danger. If you do decide to light real candles, be sure to never leave them unattended!

Another fire hazard to be aware of is live Christmas trees. If you opt for a live tree over a fake one, make sure you keep your tree watered so it doesn’t dry out. Dry pine needles are extra flammable! Also, be sure to keep all open flames away from the branches, and make sure you turn all lights off when you’re not at home. Stay safe and enjoy the holidays!

With so much to do and see, Fullerton, CA, has everything you need to make the season bright.

We’d love to see your holiday fun! If you decorate for the holidays or try out one of the activities above, post a photo on social media, tag us, and use #TisTheSeasonAtAMC.
