This beautiful beach in Newport is the perfect place to bring your dog to enjoy the beach, waves, and sunshine. Visit Corona Del Mar State Beach any time before 10 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m. to be within the designated pet hours. There’s plenty to do there with your dog! Go on a walk together, watch the sunrise or sunset, or enjoy some safe swimming thanks to the jetties. Dogs do need to be on a leash (six feet or less) at all times.
Main Beach Park in Laguna Beach is another dog-friendly beach. Dogs are welcome all year long, but during summertime (specifically June 15 to September 10), dog hours are before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. During the rest of the year, dogs can stop by at any time of day. Dogs always need to be on a leash when at Laguna Beach.
U.S. News & World Report named Huntington Dog Beach as one of the “Best Dog-Friendly Beaches in the U.S.” This 1.5-mile beach is situated between Seapoint Avenue and 21st Street along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). There aren’t any pet hour restrictions here either—enjoy the beach year-round from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Also, have a great time with your dog at some unique annual events such as Surf City Surf Dog Competition and Corgi Beach Day !
